Boom Blush - Returns & Exchanges Policy
We want you to feel confident when choosing your Boom Blush piece. If something isn’t quite right, eligible Ready-to-Wear items may be returned for assessment and processed in line with the conditions below.
1. Eligibility by Product Type
1.1 Ready-to-Wear Dresses
Ready-to-Wear garments can be submitted for a return request within the stated timeframes.
You may request:
- a refund to the original payment method, or
- an exchange
Refunds and exchanges are only approved after the garment is received and passes inspection.
Refunds exclude:
- outbound shipping
- return shipping
- 5% restocking fee for wedding dresses (covers steaming, repacking, controlled-room vacuum sealing, and warehouse handling)
1.2 Made-to-Order and Custom Size Dresses
Made-to-order and custom-size gowns are created specifically for you and cannot be returned or exchanged unless a major manufacturing fault is confirmed.
1.3 Veils and Capes
Tulle is extremely delicate and cannot be restocked once handled, tried on, or exposed to household surfaces or hair products.
Veils and capes are not eligible for return.
If colour is uncertain, we recommend ordering a swatch first.
1.4 Robes
Robes have direct body contact and fall under intimate apparel, therefore returns are not accepted for sanitary and health reasons.
1.5 Sample Sale, Last Chance & Clearance Pieces
These items are final sale.
If returned without approval, they will be held for 30 days until return postage is paid.
If unpaid, the item becomes property of Boom Blush.
2. Return Timeframes
- Notify us of your return request within 48–72 hours of receiving your garment.
- Once approved, items must be shipped back within 7 days using a tracked service and the tracking number must be provided.
- Untracked parcels will not be accepted as proof of return.
3. Return Conditions
To be eligible for assessment, items must meet ALL of the following:
- Only tried on briefly for sizing on a clean surface.
- No signs of wear or extended try-on (including photoshoots, social media content, outdoor wear).
- No makeup, spray tan, perfume, deodorant, oils, glitter, hair product, or marks.
- No stretching, seam strain, tulle stress, or bead loss.
- No alterations performed after delivery.
- All tags and security elements must remain intact and unaltered.
Each garment contains discreet identifiers that detect wear, social-media use, and unauthorised try-ons.
- Original packaging, including the vacuum bag and all inserts, must be returned.
If the garment does not meet these conditions, it will be returned to the customer at their cost.
4. Refunds
Approved refunds:
- are issued only to the original payment method used at checkout
- exclude outbound and return shipping
- include a 5% restocking fee for wedding dresses
- are issued only after the item passes inspection
5. Exchanges
If you wish to exchange for a different size:

Exchanges follow the same approval and return process.

Once your return is approved and received, exchanges may take up to 4 weeks due to warehouse stock movement.

Exchange shipping (both ways) is at the customer's expense.
This is why we confirm your measurements before dispatch and may contact you for additional information. Please respond promptly to avoid delays. -
Exchange shipping fees are non-refundable.

Please allow extra time if your wedding date is approaching.
6. Faulty Items
Every item undergoes a three-step quality control inspection and is photographed prior to dispatch.
If you believe your item is faulty:
- Contact us within 48–72 hours of receiving your parcel with clear photos.
- Minor issues (e.g., loose threads) may be repaired or credited depending on severity.
- Major manufacturing faults will be repaired, replaced, or refunded as required under regional consumer law.
Damage caused by wear, incorrect measurements, alterations, improper care, or misuse is not considered a manufacturing fault.
7. Return Shipping by Region
New Zealand
Free returns for eligible Ready-to-Wear items.
United States
Returns may be sent to our US fulfilment centre.
Return shipping is paid by the customer.
Rest of World
Returns must be sent to our New Zealand office.
Return postage is paid by the customer.
Only tracked services are accepted.
If a parcel is returned to us due to non-collection, refusal, or an incorrect address, all outbound and return shipping costs will be deducted from any refund.
8. Items Returned Without Approval
Items sent back without approval will be held for 30 days.
Return postage must be paid for re-shipment.
If unpaid, the item becomes property of Boom Blush.
9. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your order within 3 working days of purchase.
A USD $250 cancellation fee applies.
This fee covers:
- transaction and processing costs
- fabric allocation and reservation
- cutting and preparation work that begins shortly after ordering
- labour time already allocated to your gown
After 3 working days, cancellations are no longer possible as the gown and materials will already be in production.
This applies to all made-to-order, custom-size, and ready-to-wear pieces.
10. Additional Terms
No PO Boxes
We do not ship to PO Boxes.
