Last updated: 2025
By continuing past this page or purchasing from Boom Blush, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions, including all policies referenced or linked on this website. If you do not agree, please stop using this website.
These Terms apply to all users, including browsers, customers, merchants, and contributors of content.
We may update these Terms at any time by posting changes to this page. Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any updates.
1. Overview
Boom Blush Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and all associated services.
Our gowns and apparel are produced using a slow-fashion made-to-order model, with garments customised by size range, proportions, height, and approved design adjustments.
All communication regarding sizing, production, and customisation is conducted through our official email addresses:
hello@boomblush.com and stylist@boomblush.com
2. Ordering Process
When you place an order and complete the required payment at checkout, a binding agreement is formed.
After purchase:
- You will receive an order confirmation email.
- You will then receive a stylist email requesting measurements or confirming RTW sizing.
- Production will begin only after all required measurements or confirmations are submitted.
If we need additional details before production can begin, we will contact you.
Orders are placed on hold until customer responses are received. Boom Blush is not responsible for dispatch delays caused by late or missing responses.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is processed via Stripe, Apple Pay, or other secure gateways.
NZ orders include GST; international orders follow local tax rules described in our Shipping Policy.
Order Acceptance:
Your order is accepted once the payment required at checkout is received.
For split-payment orders, acceptance occurs upon successful payment of the initial instalment.
4. Product Sizing & Measurements
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete measurements using the guide we supply.
We create your gown according to:
- the size range your measurements fall into
- your exact height (including shoes)
- body length proportions
- any approved customisations
4.1 Correction of Measurements and Fluctuations
If you expect measurement changes or require time before final submission, you may request a re-check.
We will delay production when possible to accommodate updated measurements.
4.2 Fit Flexibility
Boom Blush gowns are engineered for online shopping and feature lacing, elastic elements, and flexible construction.
This allows the gown to comfortably accommodate up to approximately two sizes within your selected size range.
4.3 Alterations
Most brides do not require alterations. Those who do generally need minor adjustments such as hemming or tightening.
Alteration costs are not covered by Boom Blush.
4.4 Incorrect Measurements
If you are unsure of your measurements, please visit a professional tailor or seamstress.
Boom Blush is not responsible for incorrect measurements provided by the customer.
5. Customisations
We may offer customisations depending on the dress design and fabric limitations.
Additional fees may apply for custom design work or pattern adjustments.
We may decline customisation requests that are technically or structurally unsuitable.
6. Production
After we receive your final measurements:
- our stylists may suggest small design adjustments to improve fit
- production begins and materials are allocated
- production timelines run from the date all required details are provided
6.1 Production Timeframes
- Standard made-to-order: ships within 3 months
- Custom-size: ships within 6 months
- Ready-to-wear: ships within 4 weeks (including warehouse transfers)
- Accessories: ship within 4 weeks
- Rush orders: available with an additional fee
Timeframes apply unless a different timeline is confirmed in writing.
7. Cancellations
All orders—including made-to-order, custom-size, ready-to-wear, and accessories—
cannot be cancelled after 3 working days.
After this window:
- fabrics are purchased and allocated
- production or pattern drafting begins
- ready-to-wear stock may be relocated between warehouses
- international shipping fees may already be incurred
These costs cannot be reversed.
A cancellation within the first 3 working days incurs a US$250 cancellation fee.
8. Shipping & Delivery
All shipping, delivery methods, duties, warehouse movements, non-pickup rules, and customs responsibilities are governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Key principles include:
- signature required
- courier redirection to pickup points
- DDP duties for USA and NZ
- DDU for most other regions
- customer responsibility for correct address
- non-pickup results in Store Credit minus shipping and courier fees
Your order enters the dispatch queue only after all required information is submitted.
9. Returns, Exchanges & Faults
All rules relating to returns, exchanges, store credit, and fault assessments are governed by our Returns & Exchanges Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Key points:
- made-to-order and custom items are final sale
- approved RTW returns receive Store Credit only
- store credit is issued only after inspection
- non-pickup/refused parcels generate store credit minus shipping both ways
- faulty items are assessed under applicable consumer laws
- repair or replacement is provided where required
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boom Blush is not liable for:
- delays caused by late measurement submissions or customer non-response
- measurement fluctuations or changes in body size
- incorrect measurements supplied by the customer
- damage caused by customer handling or third-party alterations
- minor design or fit variations inherent to online production
- allergic reactions where material details were disclosed in good faith
- absence of fabric-content labels when details were provided on our website
- differences between digital images and physical products
- any indirect or consequential loss, including:
- emotional distress
- disappointment or unmet expectations
- lost profits
- stress relating to fit or delivery times
- dissatisfaction with subjective preferences
While we pride ourselves on exceptional accuracy and quality, such outcomes do not constitute grounds for compensation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes your statutory consumer rights under NZ law or mandatory protections in your region.
11. Product Descriptions, Fabric Variation & Allergies
We provide fabric details and material information on product pages in good faith.
Due to international sourcing, batch variations may occur.
Some fabrics used by Boom Blush are sourced from limited-run suppliers and deadstock materials to reduce environmental impact. Because these fabrics are not lab-tested and may not come with full fiber documentation, exact composition may not always be known. We list material information on our website in good faith based on supplier statements and observable characteristics, but we cannot guarantee absolute accuracy. Boom Blush is not liable for allergic reactions or sensitivities arising from undisclosed or unknown fabric content. Customers with allergies or sensitivities must contact us prior to ordering to confirm whether a garment is suitable for them.
12. Use of Customer Photos
We may request permission to feature photos you share with us.
If you publicly tag or mention Boom Blush, we may reshare such content on our website or social media.
We will never use identifiable customer images in paid advertising without explicit written consent.
You may request removal of content at any time.
13. Delivery Timeline Disclaimer
Estimated delivery dates are guidelines only and do not guarantee arrival by a specific date.
Delays may occur due to customs processing, courier delays, global events, or late submission of customer information.
Boom Blush has never missed a wedding deadline since our launch in 2016, and we continue to prioritise timely delivery for every bride.
Customers are encouraged to order well in advance of their event.
14. Data Privacy & Cyber Security
We take reasonable steps to safeguard personal information submitted via our Shopify platform.
